About Me

The Secret Ingredient: I embrace writing, art, cooking, counseling, or simply having fun! I am a nurse, counselor & writer in the health field; however, through painting, I strive to paint the human experience. My medical history coupled with psychology & my work in counseling will either be subtle or blatant in my work. Laying heart & soul on canvas is a good way to describe my intent. Turning pain into enlightenment is my aim. It is my goal to share the insight I have received; to encourage others to live the lives they are meant to live! To not share in the human experience would make the tremendous painful experiences worthless,& I cannot have that. The greatest compliments that I have received came from widows who are in tremendous pain, they have individually told me, “Your paintings say what I have not found the words to express; they say what I am feeling.” This is what I aim to do in each painting; to paint the truth as I live it, so when others view it, they can see their own lives. Art has remained a constant in my life. After I lost my spouse, I returned to art as therapy & decided to go into my life’s love full time. So, I began a new company: http://lisakramerart.com/.
